Brandi

Hi there!  â€‹

For more than a decade, I've been involved in both animal rescue and wildlife rehabilitation.  During this time, I developed an appreciation and a passion for animal rescue and helping those in need.  One of the recurring themes in shelter and rescue life was the problem of lost pets.  Whether displaced by natural disasters or simply escaping from the yard, a lost pet can be heartbreaking. Unfortunately, this happens all too often!  Many times, the difference between a happy reunion and living with uncertainty is simply a pet ID tag.  Thus, Waggin' Tags was born!

We had a great run with Waggin' Tags in 2018 and in 2019 we decided to take things up a notch and introduce Pet Guardian Collaborative, a comprehensive hub that provides services such as boarding, training, and of course pet ID tags.

I promote building strong relationship within families, to include the family dog. My methods are research-driven, aversive-free, and I do not use pain, force, or intimidation to alter behavior. When we work together, you can expect a comprehensive education regarding canine body language and the methodology of behavior change while maintaining and building a great relationship with your pal.

I have two pups named Zachary and Sugar, three kitties- Penny, Jake, and Summer, chickens and fish.  I've been an avid animal lover for as long as I can remember and believe that pets truly offer something special as they increase the quality of our lives.

Our Team

Tiffany

From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. My first real job as a teenager was working at an animal hospital as a receptionist. On the job I learned the skills of a Veterinary Technician. I transitioned into that roll and worked as a vet tech for over 5 years until I became a Military wife and mother. Even as a full time Mom moving around in the military, I couldn’t escape the desire to work with animals. I ended up working part time on the weekends on and off through our military moves.

I was a groomers assistant, doggy hotel receptionist, trainers assistant, and I have run my own dog boutique for over 7 years. Throughout my time as a stay at home Mom I have discovered the love for learning about dog behavior. Through working with trainers to socialize and obedience train puppies for PTSD service, and volunteering at the local shelters, my love for rehabilitating dogs and training dogs grew.

For the past 2 years I have trained along side some amazing trainers as a private contractor. I have trained dogs in shelters to help them become more adoptable and help dog owners understand their dogs in a way that creates a cohesive partnership. This enriches the lives of both the dog and their family members.

My true passion is setting puppies up for success by educating their owners on what to expect, how dogs think, how they learn, and how to teach them to behave in a way that makes both parties happy. I think all dogs could and should be trained to a service dog level from puppyhood if possible. All dogs are different, just like people. I think it’s important to set them up for success from a young age, and to give people the tools to create a happy healthy life for their fur children.

Whether adopting from a shelter, trying to create new and better habits at home with your older dog, or bringing home a new puppy and starting them off right, I want to help. Using nothing but positive reinforcement to teach a dog to create happy healthy habits is my method, and encouraging a dog to want to please because they love and trust you is my mission.

"Brandi is the Best. She was able to get through to my German Shepherd that has a bad case of fear aggression! I've had several other trainers turn me down because of my dog's history which includes biting a trainer, but Brandi with her passion & heart love for dogs gave us a chance and worked with my Penney. Brandi's extensive history of training and working with dogs coupled with her knowledge of dog behaviors saved the day!
I was able to go on vacation and leave my Penney with Brandi after only a couple of weeks! Brandi is an answer to my prayers - She is my Cesar Milan!"
